PHOTOS: 6/25/11 Dave Reed, his son Davey, and Patrick Rooney enjoyed good fishing on several half day trips in June. Davey (top two photos) and Patrick (left) both had a backcountry grand slam plus (snook, redfish, tarpon, seatrout) on the same trip. Davey also caught this nice tailing permit (above left) on 10 pound spin.

 

 

 

 

3 PHOTOS: 6/14/11 The Wagner Family from Johnstown, OH combined some shark and tarpon fishing back in mid June. Daughters Amanda and Haley are shown with their blacknose and lemon sharks, while Tom is pictured below releasing his tarpon.

PHOTO: 6/16/11 Michael Semler of Princeton NJ displays a fun-sized permit he caught on 10 pound spinning gear while sight fishing up on the flats. He and his brother-in-law Bill Stitt (Summitt NJ) also released a pair of tarpon after sunset.

 

 

 

 

 

PHOTO: 6/29/11 One of two tarpon Jorge and his father JR of Miami caught on a trip in late June. They hooked 4 other tarpon, two of which broke us off in the bridge. Jorge also caught and released a 4 foot lemon shark.
